Welcome to our MS in Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering program, a rigorous 3-semester, 30-credit hour journey designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to tackle today’s grand challenges humanity faces. This comprehensive program integrates advanced chemical engineering principles with environmental sustainability practices and materials engineering, preparing graduates for impactful careers. Upon completion, you will be well-positioned for roles such as Environmental Engineer, Safety and Health Officer, Process Engineer, Materials Scientist, Sustainability Consultant, and Research Scientist, among others. Graduates can find opportunities in industries such as pharmaceuticals, paper, energy, manufacturing, environmental consulting, materials synthesis, as well as government agencies such as EPA, DOE and FDA. Learning Outcomes

  • Students will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the discipline (mathematics, science, and engineering), including methodology relevant to a specialty area.
  • Students will demonstrate an advanced ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems to carry out supervised research.
  • Students will demonstrate an advanced ability to generate technical contributions and effectively communicate them to the scientific community.
