The Department aims to create an inclusive environment that educates the next generation of engineers who promote sustainability through the development of novel chemical processes, environmental systems, and innovative materials that improve the quality of life in both the built and natural environment.

The CEME department, guided by a vision of a sustainable and healthy future, aspires to be a global leader in engineering education and research that improves the quality of life and the health and well-being of society and the environment, through the development of sustainable materials and novel chemical and environmental engineering processes.
